In order to get full control of the data stored in a ledger the Partner sets up their own DCL Peer and creates a completely independent continuity plan.
A peer contains public or private ledgers and the data stored in these ledgers will be secured from external influence

Partners and their peers in the network are needed to secure the data and the irrefutability of the digital evidence by distributing the ledgers over different partners in different regions and industries. Adding more peers to the network will increase the resilience of the network.
